Tavistock 1st 4 Hornets 2 IT was the first league match back after the Christmas period and Tavistock needed to come out of the game with some points after losing to the same side earlier on in the season. Tavistock started the better side passing the ball round the Hornets? defenders with ease and it was not long before Honey opened up the New Year score with a powerful shot from the top of the D into the bottom corner. With the return of the influential Kevin Lethbridge acting as sweeper the back four were solid. It was not long before Matt Way slotted in another goal on the stroke of half time to give Tavistock a 2-0 lead. The start of the second half saw Tavistock go into self destruct mode as Hornets slotted in two goals in quick succession. Now Tavistock turned up the heat and from a brilliant piece of individual skill Way gave them the lead once again. The Tavistock midfield continued to work hard and a run into the D from Barrett earned Tavistock a short corner which Honey capitalised on.
