POSITIVE stories from people who have recovered from mental health problems are being sought for a new booklet.
The booklet will be available at the Wharf Arts Centre in Tavistock throughout October to coincide with World Mental Health Day on October 10 and is being produced by Service Users' Recovery Forum.
They are looking for positive stories about recovery from mental health problems, whether from the person themselves or from someone who knows of an encouraging story from someone they know.
The booklet is aimed at encouraging those currently going through such problems and who might be experiencing despair, hopelessness and low self worth and assuring them that recovery and return to health is possible.
Contributions can be made anonymously and can be sent to SURF, c/o Rethink, Abbey Rise, Whitchurch Road, Tavistock, PL19 9AS by August 31. Contact Maureen Parr at Tavistock Rethink on 01822 610946 for more information.
