IN the PING fourball better ball qualifier at Yelverton Golf Club the club winners were Marie Deeny and Barbara Berryman on 35 points; runners up Di Reardon and Trudi Luke, 35.
There were 114 ladies entered in the three ball better ball open but the weather was not kind with thunder, lightning and some heavy rain!
First were the trio of Gilly Jarvis (Yelverton), Nicky Gawman and Maggie Hillman (both Tavistock), 77 points. Second, Caroline Theyer, S Redding, J Martin-Scott (Burnham and Berrow), 77 and third Belinda McSherry and Jayne Wright (both Tavistock) and Gill Down (Holsworthy), 75.
There were four twos Gilly Jarvis (Yelverton), S Cocks (Bigbury), C Jackson (Teighnmouth) and Vera Nancekivell (St Mellion); nearest the pins, Gilly Jarvis (Yelverton), Jan Morrison (Woodbury), Maggie Hillman (Tavistock) and Jayne Wright (Tavistock); nearest the pin in two on the 15th, Kath Preston (China Fleet).
