THE Mid Devon and Eggesford Pony Club?s Tetrathlon featured lots of enthusiastic competition. On Saturday, competitors shot and swam in Okehampton at Parklands Leisure Centre. On Sunday they moved to Southcott Farm, Winkleigh, for a challenging riding course. Jessica Jeffery had the 2nd best swim, and finished 4th, while in the Mini Boys Toby Thurgood and Tom Dalton Morgan both had promising results that just failed to make the prizes. Rosa Malseed, (Mid Devon) won the Novice Junior class with the best swim and second best run. Rosa with Tiffany Parrott (also Mid Devon) and Rachel Ware of the Spooners came second in the team event. The Junior girls class saw honours for the Spooners & West Dartmoor club with Sarah Palmer winning with the best run and Helen Hoddinott finishing sixth; both girls having clear round rides. Lydia King from the Eggesford finished 5th with a clear round and Mid Devon?s Lottie Trerise had best swim.
