A SEAT still remains vacant on Tavistock Town Council following an uncontested election earlier this month.

Two vacancies arose following the resignation of Cllr Harry Smith and Cllr Jeff Moody, who represented the north ward of Tavistock.

Only one person came forward for a place on the council — Anthony Fey, independent, was duly elected as councillor for the north ward without contest.
