OKEHAMPTON has a new mayor and deputy mayor after yesterday’s civic mayor choosing ceremony.

Cllr Jan Goffey, who had been deputy mayor to the previous mayor Cllr Paul Vachon, is now Okehampton Mayor, with Cllr Dr Michael Ireland as her deputy. The two were sworn into the positions in the town hall yesterday (May 11).
