OKEHAMPTON deputy Mayor Cllr Mike Davies has been making a name for himself putting politicians on the spot after asking a question about integrity to the panel of BBC1?s Question Time, which was recently broadcast from aboard HMS Albion in Plymouth. Mike?s appearance has in turn led to a lot of publicity. On the Sunday morning following the Question Time programme, BBC Radio Devon hosted a debate on the question of whether voters should still expect a level of integrity when people hold public office, with Mike part of a panel of three debating the issue. The other two panellists were a little more experienced in the surroundings than Mike but he was not daunted by the occasion. The other panellists were Nick Harvey (Liberal Democrat MP for North Devon) and Dr Adrian Rogers, who previously contested the parliamentary constituency of Exeter for the Conservatives when Ben Bradshaw regained the city for the Labour Party. After the debate, Mike was also asked to review the Sunday papers for the BBC.
