THERE'S an opportunity for residents in the Okehampton area to quiz their prospective parliamentary candidates ahead of this spring's general election during a special 'Question Time' event being held in the town next week.

The prospective candidates for the new Central Devon constituency, of which Okehampton and area is a part, will be at the main hall in the Ockment Centre from 6pm until 10pm on Monday March 8.

Written questions may be submitted from 6pm — the prospective candidates will give their answers from 7pm.

The event, which is open to all, has been organised by the Devon Heartlands Community Forum.

Devon Heartlands — formerly the Okehampton Area MCTi Partnership — provides free open community forum meetings for the people of Okehampton, Chagford, North Tawton and surrounding parishes between 2pm and 4pm on the first Wednesday of every month at the Ockment Centre in Okehampton.

Devon Heartlands also helps to develop and deliver projects and services to the community.
