POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an incident in Tavistock where a man was hit with a piece of wood. Two males were walking along the footpath to the south of Abbey Bridge on Sunday, June 24 between 5.50pm and 5.59pm. One of the males was carrying a piece of wood on his shoulder when an unknown male approached the pair, took the wood and hit the male on the back with it. No physical bruising was caused. l Common assault on a minor took place at Lopwell Dam on Sunday, June 24 between 7.20pm and 7.30pm. Anyone with information should call 101, quoting CR/0056189/18.
l A dog was not under control in Tavistock on Friday June 22. At around 2pm a dog on an extendable lead ran out of a house and caused injury to another dog. CR/055443/18.
l A theft took place from a car at Postbridge on Saturday, June 23, between 3.30pm and 5pm. The car was entered using a jemmy to the locks and a backpack was stolen. CR/055550/18.
l A garage in the Yelverton area was burgled on Saturday, June 23 between 9.45pm and 22.45pm. Entry was gained and vehicles were damaged. CR/055980/18.
l Criminal damage was caused to the patio door of a private residence at Brentor, allegedly by an air gun pellet on Friday, June 22 at 5.25pm. CR/056009/18.
l Criminal damage was caused to the bathroom window of a flat in Spring Hill, Tavistock, on Monday, June 25 between 1.30pm and 1.24pm. Any witnesses to the incident, please call 101 and quote CR/056009/18.
l There was a theft from a vehicle at Postbridge on Monday, June 25, between 6.45pm and 7.15pm. Entry was gained by smashing the back window and bags were taken. CR/056674/18.
