POLICE in Tavistock are appealing for information following an attempted burglary at Tavistock College last weekend.

Police were alerted to the incident at 7.05pm on Saturday. Officers attended and three people were subsequently arrested.

A police spokesman said: 'Police are keen to speak to a man seen walking along the canal path at the time and who is believed to have seen the three.

'He was walking from the direction of Monksmead towards Drake Statue at around 7pm.

'Officers would also like to hear from residents in Monksmead, Trinity Way and Daleswood Road, whose homes overlook the rear of the property, if they saw anything suspicious.'
