POLICE are appealing for information regarding incidents that took place at two properties in Princetown recently.
Overnight on Friday August 6/Saturday August 7, an address in Burrator Avenue had a rock thrown over the back yard wall, damaging the garden pond.
On the same evening, at a neighbouring property on Burrator Avenue, a large tin of bright pink paint was thrown over the back wall, covering the garden in paint. At the same address, two baked bean cans filled with white spirit-soaked tissue were set alight against the wall, causing the shed on the property to catch fire.
Neighbourhood beat manager for Princetown PC Dave Pickles said: This could have potentially been a very serious incident, there were young children in the house at the time.
Were asking anyone who was out and about at that time, coming home from the pub, who may have seen something to come forward. All information will be treated in confidence.
Anyone with information regarding these incidents, please contact PC Pickles at Tavistock Police Station, quoting crime reference number JT/10/815.
