AN anthology of four-line poems on the theme of love is now available from St Eustachius Church in Tavistock. The 'Poetry in the Pews Anthology' arrived last week and features more than 1,000 poems from local school children and residents and even poems from people who live in Australia, New Zealand, Tasmania and Ireland. The poems were collected when the parish church held an event entitled 'celebration of love in 688 mini-poems' which gave adults of all ages and children the opportunity to share their creative talents. Organisers of the event set out to display eight poems in each of the 86 pews within the church on the theme of love — and were surprised with the amount of poems received. The book costs £5.50.
