THERE's an opportunity to see the 'New Forrest Plonkers' as heard on Radio 5 Live, at the Strawberry Fields in Lifton on Tuesday, September 20 from 7.30pm.

The evening has been organized by local man, Michael Bickell as part of his journey on horseback from Little Bridge House, the children's hospice in North Devon to Little Harbour, the new children's hospice near St Austell.

His trusty steed, Murphy, and many of his equine and human friends will be coming along for the ride too and this evening of entertainment 'country style' which includes a supper of bangers and mash, will be a real highlight of the trip. The theme and dress code for the evening is 'work-a-day hats' .

Michael said: 'I am really thrilled that this great group of musicians, who celebrate all things agricultural, are making the long trip from Hampshire to make us all laugh.'
