TODAY, for the second time recently, I found, collected and disposed of a nappy discarded on the moor near Longash. Fortunately I had a bag in my pocket. Last time I had to return to my car to get one. It is bad enough when people leave the remains of their picnic, barbeque or takeaway on the moor or beside the road but this is particularly awful. West Devon Borough Council is seeking to punish dog owners who do not pick up poo on the open moor, but at least that will biodegrade. Nappies spill out the crystals as they become waterlogged. Please would people ensure they take these home, along with their other rubbish. Val Bolitho Milton Combe
