WITH regard to the letter (May 10) from Martin Wheeler, of Tavistock, I find it surprising he wishes to go to Roborough or Okehampton to shop.

Surely the time it would take to get there would be considerably longer than waiting in a queue at Morrisons. Depending on the time of day, the queues aren't that long, anyway.

I very much agree that a DIY store is much needed after the closure of Focus.

I have found that the builders' merchants do not always stock the same things one requires that can be purchased at a DIY store.

Please, no more supermarkets. We already have two in Plymouth Road and one in Brook Street and the best specialist stores in any town.
