I NOTE with dismay your article 'Beware Carpet Cleaning Offers' (Times, February 27).

At Bone-Dry Carpet Cleaning we pride ourselves on providing an honest and ethical business practice.

We provide a written quotation after inspection which is final and no additional cost whatsoever would be charged to the client. We would never condone unsolicited phone calls to obtain business.

The majority of our business is generated by referrals and repeat clientele, therefore integrity and a high level of service and customer satisfaction is paramount to our continued success.

The problem of 'infestation' such as carpet beetles and their lava, carpet moths, and mites would be treated, removed and sanitised during our normal cleaning procedure, and would not incur any additional cost.

If we, or any of the other reputable local businesses, were to hear that operators were acting in this unethical way, we would indeed report them to the Trading Standards ourselves.

We would highly recommend that your readers go to websites to ensure that the companies are bona fide and indeed are professional carpet cleaners.

I trust that any fears this article may have had on your readers are now allayed and that they can review their carpet cleaning with more confidence.
