Could I appeal to dog owners in the Tavistock area to be responsible and clear up after their pets please?
I have noticed a substantial increase in the amount of dog mess left on pavements and roads in the town recently.
Quite apart from being unpleasant and unhygienic, not clearing up after your dog is contrary to local by-laws and can incur a hefty fine.
I for one am getting fed up with walking with my eyes to the ground, rather than in front of me. I am not a dog hater — I have two of my own — rather do I hate lazy and irresponsible dog owners who give the rest of us a bad name.
