I WALK my dogs early in the morning through the Meadows and have noticed the progressively degenerating state of the lighting. The other morning there were four main lights not working by the access from Plymouth Road to the Meadows and two more in Benson Meadow.
Having watched the comedy exercise of six men taking three days to put three strings of lights on three Christmas trees on the town hall recently, you would think the council could afford to send one person home an hour early to walk through the Meadows, etc, to check the lights at the end of the day.
Or are the town hall tree lights putting a strain on the National Grid and our council tax at the expense of these public areas?
