PRINCETOWN'S Neighbourhood Watch is urging motorists to be mindful of where they park in the village, especially in the run-up to the busy summer season.
Even though a rare occurrence, last Wednesday saw what can happen when people park in a restricted area along the main street (see picture).
A spokesperson for the Princetown Neighbourhood Watch said: 'The police are not obliged to monitor any parking enforcement, but will if there is a serious obstruction.
'Ever since the responsibility for parking enforcement was removed from the police and given to parking enforcement officers, parking has been a problem in Princetown.
'We haven't seen an enforcement officer in Princetown for a couple of years.
'The village gets busy during the summer months with tourist buses offloading outside the cafés, and sometimes don't move — it does make it difficult for traffic and people to park.
'I want to illustrate what happens in the village before it gets too bad!'
