TAVISTOCK College students will present two totally different dramas over the coming weeks, with one being performed in the streets of the town. The college's 67th Street Players will present 'Heroes of the Houses', an original community performance based on the story of Tavistock College, on Sunday, November 19. They will start at Bedford Square at noon and continue along Plymouth Road, finishing at Tavistock College. This performance is suitable for all ages, from 2-92. The college senior school play is 'Blue Remembered Hills' by Dennis Potter, and will be performed at the college on Thursday, November 30 and Friday and Saturday, December 1 and 2. This deceptively simple tale relates the activities of seven West Country seven-year-olds on a summer afternoon during the second world war. None of them knew that their innocent games mirrored the reality and horrors of the adult world around them, and when that world broke into theirs they could never go back. Tickets for the play are available from the drama department, price £5 adult, £3 concessions and students and £2.50 drama GCSE students. It is unsuitable for students under 11.
