Okehampton Colts 11 Redruth Colts 15 TOM Cockerham was superb at the line out catching Dan Hudson?s throws with Nicky Martin and Tom Bird providing power in the front row and excellent work around the fringes. Both teams exchanged penalties in the first 10 minutes before Redruth took Okehampton?s scrum ball and sent their winger over for a try in the corner. From the restart Redruth gave away another penalty for Andy Herrod-Taylor to slot his second score. Redruth survived a player in the bin to end the half 2 points ahead. Under pressure early in the second half Redruth failed to find touch with Gary Sizmur chipping over the defence. Impeded on the chase Oke?s played the advantage turned over posession and quick ruck ball gave David Fewings space to reach the line in the corner. At 11-8 up the home side soaked up intense pressure before Redruth spread the ball wide and scored their 2nd try and put over an excellent conversion to lead 11-15. Okehampton replied with their own period of pressure with drives from Neil Perrot, Alex Taylor and captain Sam Turner. Both sides played good hard rugby with quick ruck clearances and committed tackling.
