THE hardy perennial, that is the Bridestowe bring and buy plant sale takes place on Saturday, May 24, from 10am to noon at Leawood. There will be the usual offerings of plants of all sorts — labelled and in pots — so, if you have a surplus to get rid of or need to buy more, this is the opportunity. The sale is in aid of the Children's Society and St Bridget's Church, Bridestowe. It will also support three other causes: Bridestowe, Sourton and Lydford Preschool will be running a cakes and toys stall, Sourton Table Tennis Club will be raffling a cake and there will be a Traidcraft stall on which there will be a variety of goods to buy from around the world. The sale will be signed from the old A30 and from the Fox and Hounds on the A386.
