RESIDENTS of Yelverton and the Buckland Monachorum parish are being invited to have their say on a proposal for land in Yelverton and the Leg O Mutton area.
The Maristow Estate is holding a public consultation event on March 29, aimed at giving local residents and those with a general interest in this area the chance to share views and generate feedback on the possibilities of whether a scheme of investment, development and improvement of land in the vicinity of Yelverton centre and the Leg O Mutton would be beneficial to Yelverton and the wider parish.
It will invite response on a concept proposal which has partly been prepared on information gleaned from the initial neighbourhood plan response feedback.
It is envisaged at this stage that where possible, any scheme should be mixed use incorporating key elements including commercial use, community use, residential and a maybe local interpretation or information hub.
This should be coupled with improvements in vehicular, pedestrian and cycling access between the main centre of Yelverton and the Leg O Mutton and beyond.
Parking, landscaping and amenity improvements are also likely to be components.
The site is being promoted by Maristow Estate which is keen to work with the local residents to sympathetically formulate a scheme for development and generate a better sense of linkage to fully integrate Leg O Mutton and enhance it to be integral with the heart of Yelverton.
The consultation event takes place between 3pm and 7pm at Yelverton War Memorial Hall on Tuesday, March 29.
