Mary Tavy 4 Maker with Rame 2 MARY Tavy recorded their sixth successive victory against Maker, who have not beaten Mary Tavy in over three years. Tavy were boosted by the return of their inspirational play-maker Mark Piper, back after seven months out with knee damage. Piper?s presence was noticeable from the start and he nearly opened the scoring as the keeper palmed away his piledriver from Coole?s cross. The only goal of the first half came from Dave Downing as his shot from distance curled in. Tavy?s second was the goal of the day as Piper slid a great ball to Trebwilcock who pulled to Matt Gaden who placed the ball in the net. The game was effectively killed when James Coole took the ball round the keeper and squeezed it in from the tightest of angles. Maker pulled one back as Tavy were starting to switch off defensively. Mary Tavy restored their three goal lead almost immediately as Ben Stephen added another to his growing goal tally with a close range header. Maker pulled another back with a free header.
