BROADCASTER and novelist Fern Britton and more than 20 fellow cyclists were greeted in Tavistock on Tuesday evening, ahead of their penultimate leg of the John O' Groats to Land's End challenge for the Genesis Research Trust.
Fern said the 57-mile stretch from Cullompton to Tavistock through wind, rain and hail stones over Dartmoor had been the toughest ride so far, but the committed troop of female cyclists had battled through with great determination.
This is the former ITV 'This Morning' host's 11th charity cycle ride for the trust, which funds research into the prevention of miscarriage in pregnancy.
