DJM Hermes division Tavistock Town U13s 6 Plymouth Trophyman U13s 4 TAVISTOCK started brightly enough, battling well enough and went in at half time leading 4-2 through goals from Blatchford, Moorhead, Hicks and Northmore. Early in the second half Northmore added a fifth for Tavistock which seemed to put the outcome of the game beyond doubt. This certainly seemed to be the thinking of the Tavistock team as the concentration levels dipped and Trophyman came right back into the game with two goals in quick succession to bring the game back to 5-4. With the outcome now in doubt Tavistock again stirred themselves for a final effort and Moorhead made the game safe with the final goal to secure all three points.

Devon FA Tesco U13s county cup Uplyme Youth FC 3 Tavistock Town 3 (aet) Tavistock won 4-1 on penalties Tavistock's second game in 24 hours was a cup quarter final game against the East Devon side. Travelling with only 12 players due to unavailability and injury, the long journey was made all the more stressful by deciding who would stand in as goalkeeper. The task fell to Eaton who was to prove one of the stars of an entertaining cup tie. Tavistock started well and soon had their game flowing but despite doing all the pressing they couldn't find a way to goal and shortly before half time two quick breaks from Uplyme gave them a somewhat flattering 2-0 half time lead. Undeterred Tavistock got themselves back with two quick goals of their own early in the second half only for Uplyme to add a third goal in similar fashion to their other goals. With time running out, it seemed like the cup run was going to end, but Hoar had other ideas as he sent the game into extra time with Tavistock's third goal. Extra time didn't produce any further scoring so it was down to penalties and a new experience for the players. They excelled themselves as Hicks, Northmore and Quick all converted the first three Tavistock penalties whilst Eaton was inspiring the team by saving two from Uplyme. It was left to Moorhead to seal victory with a penalty to spare and spark the celebrations.
