TAVISTOCK College hosted a visit by nine German students and their teacher earlier this month. The event follows a third trip made by college students and their German teacher, Monika Buss Meÿer, to Tavistock's twin town of Celle last October. A spokesman for Tavistock College said: 'It proved to be a big success yet again. Therefore expectations were high when our German pupils paid us their return visit in February this year. An action-packed programme had been organised — one of the highlights was the visit to the mayor of Tavistock, Cllr Anne Johnson, who treated the pupils to a very tasty, Germanic lunch in the mayor's parlour. 'It was noted how well the exchange had developed from its infancy into a greatly popular event, with real friendships being formed and language skills enhanced.' The next visit in October is already in the pipeline.
