APRIL 15 to 21 was Parkinson's Awareness Week. The Tavistock Parkinson's Support Group had a stall in the pannier market on April 18.

The stand had lots of information regarding living with Parkinson's and the local help that is available through the group's support and exercise meetings. We also raffled a canvas print to raise funds.

I would like to thank visitors to the market for taking an interest in the stand and for supporting the raffle. The sum of £72 was raised through the raffle and donations. Thank you to everyone for their generosity.

Our next fundraising event is an evening quiz on June 3 to be held at The Leaping Salmon, Horrabridge. It will start at 7.30pm and we hope to hold a raffle. Please ring Pam on 01822 614204 if you would like to enter a team, at a charge of £2 per person, so, the teams can be any size.
