STAFF of Tavistock Area Children’s Centre held a picnic in the park recently in order to celebrate World Breastfeeding Week.

With around 30 families in attendance, the peer supporters made cakes and hats, available to buy for a small donation.

All money raised at the event will be used to purchase leaflets and advertising material for the breastfeeding group.

A spokesperson for the group said: ‘Meetings are held on Wednesday mornings 10am to 11.30am.

‘If you would like to come and meet some other mums who are breastfeeding, please feel free to pop in.’
