THE Royal Marines? Association in the Tavistock area is planning to send parcels of goods to the troops in Afghanistan in time for Christmas. There is only a small window of opportunity to carry out this task, and it is at the moment a one-off. Yorkie Malone, from the association, said they would like to be able to collect gifts, including sweets, toiletries, boys? magazines, and any freshly baked cakes. The weight of each package must not exceed 2kg or 4lb 7oz, and must conform to basic postal packaging rules. Mr Malone said: ?I know of at least nine lads from Tavistock who are out there ? but if anyone knows of anymore please give me a buzz.?
