TAVISTOCK BID will be celebrating Shrove Tuesday in style in the town centre next week. 

Working in partnership with celebrity chef and Tavistock restaurant owner Peter Gorton, BID is taking over Tavistock Town Hall for the afternoon to take the humble pancake to the new heights.

From midday on Tuesday, February 12, the public are welcome to join Peter in exploring the many ways to flavour and customise everyone's favourite batter in a frying pan combination. 

Children from Year 2 at St Rumon's School will joining the fun and experimenting with funky flavour combinations as Peter gives them tips.

 Out on the square exhibitions from Tavistock Community Sports Centre and Meadowlands will be giving tips to loose those pounds gained through indulging in the day's traditional fayre.

 So come and join the pancake flipping fun from midday onwards in Tavistock Town Hall and on the square.
