THE first half saw the ball going from one end to the other.
Play was fast with Marjons quick on the break only to be met by the sound defending of Fiona Dunn and Babs Horton.
Marjons had several short corners but could not get it past the watchful eye of keeper Julie McGowan.
The second half saw a more composed Tavistock take to the pitch, working the ball up the front. Laura Armstrong fed the ball through to Judy Smallacombe who took it to the right of the Marjons' keeper. It was cleared, but only as far as an awaiting Smallacombe who gave the keeper no chance.
Tavistock struck again after another good strong cross from Sue Cork for Kathryn Collar to smack it between the keeper's legs.
Marjons hit back. McGowan saved the ball, but it deflected across the goalmouth with Marjons just getting a stick to it.
Tavistock were unlucky not to get a third goal after an excellent shot from a short corner by Susannah Harland was disallowed, as the ball wasn't stopped dead.
