MRS Moore was far from delighted as implied by your report of December 7 in the council's naming of the firm's latest development in Tavistock, Cole Moore Meadow.
Our preferred choice of name for our site was Moores Meadow to commemorate the firm's two founder members.
It is the council's decision to honour who they wish. Mr Cole does sterling work in Tavistock and I would be one of the first to support any honour they wish to bestow upon him.
However, why cannot the council do this on property or land that they own, ie a seat or similar and leave the naming of our site to our firm and not railroad us into something that we do not desire?
