Our old folk deserve a well equipped central rest room

I READ with interest your excellent front page on the old folk's rest room and efforts to save it.

The petition you mention with 225 names is not alone. On Dickensian Evening alone I collected 350 signatures and I believe others also contributed.

At the recent EU parliament I spoke with friends who told of similar experiences in their constituencies, so Tavistock is not alone.

What sort of society are we? Do the Greeks, French, Italians, Spanish etc, treat their old folks in this manner? I doubt it.

What our old folk deserve is a warm and well equipped rest room in a central position.
