IT was a case of wax on, wax off for four brave students at Okehampton College, when they took part in a sponsored leg wax for Comic Relief.
The boys raised more than £500 after undergoing the gruelling task of having their leg hair removed by staff from Heavenly Beauty Salon in Okehampton.
Citizenship leader at the college Mike Gurney said: 'There was a bit of screaming and writhing around and I think it was quite painful, but it was all done for a good cause and the students really enjoyed it.
'The Octagon was packed out with an audience of well over 200, all watching the lads getting waxed.
'In total the college raised around £1,600 for Comic Relief, so it was a great day all round.'
