THE speaker at the next Taste and See ladies' dinner in Tavistock is Julie Hodge.
Julie is married to Frank whom she met when aged 16. She has two grown up children and one daughter-in-law. She moved to Exeter eleven years ago, from Liverpool, and believes she has found the 'garden of Eden'.
Julie's main career has been in teaching, training and project management and she has recently trained as a mediator. Along with Frank, she is involved in a local church where she serves on the leadership team. Her hobbies are walking, cycling, aerobic classes and eating out.
The title of her talk is 'Creating order out of chaos'.
The event is at the Bedford Hotel, Tavistock, on Thurday October 7, 7pm for 7.30pm. Tickets are £10 for two courses with a vegetarian option and can be purchased from Georgina's pet shop on West Street (01822 617277) or Linda Medland (01822 615940).
Taste and See is open to all women of any age and newcomers are welcome. It is organised by a committee representing the churches in the Tavistock area. For more information contact Ruth Newman 01822 616859.
