Exmouth girls U18s 0
Tavistock girls U18s 68
This top of the table, 'must win', match turned out on the day, to be a one sided affair.
Directly after the kick off, Tavistock moved the ball to the wings and without losing possession had the two tries under their belt by Alex Stean and Kayleigh Calloway-Bawden. The Tavistock girls turned on the pressure with excellent ball skills. During the first 20 minutes there were no fumbles or forward passes which allowed them to scythe through some poor Exmouth tackling. Loose balls were pounced upon by the forwards and the recycling and running resulted in three more tries before half time by Alex Stean, Kayleigh Calloway-Bawden and Frankie Rickard.
The second half was a different affair, Exmouth regrouped and Tavistock sat back on their score. It was a further 15 minutes before the next try by Beth Neave, which then opened the floodgates for 6 tries in 10 minutes by Frankie Rickard, Kayleigh Calloway-Bawden (2) and three tries by Alex Stean.
Many tries were created due to the hard work of Elsie Kirby, Jo Abel and Rosie Tidball.
Ali Huntley was impressive in her distribution of the ball, Beth Neave showed some of the elusive running that she is capable of and Rachel Watson was unlucky not to be on the score-sheet.
