THE first of a series of village consultation events on proposals for a one-way system for Callington takes place in Stoke Climsland this Saturday.

Cornwall councillor for Callington Andrew Long will be showing the three options to parishioners between 9am and noon and will be available to answer questions.

People will be asked to fill in a questionnaire and choose one of five answers, either supporting one of the three options, none of them or an alternative.

The following Saturday (August 20) Cllr Long will be at the South Hill Flower Show in Golberdon.

Work has already started on compiling the 598 proposals received during the July consultation in Callington. These will, together with the responses from the villages, form a report to go to the town council, Cornwall Highways and the traders at the end of the month.
