DARTMOOR Railway is inviting people to climb aboard for a mystery tour this weekend.
The event, organised in conjunction with Devon County Council, on Easter Sunday, involves both a trip on the Dartmoor Pony train from Okehampton to Meldon Quarry Station — and a mystery ride on a vintage open top bus. There is also an Okehampton Station mystery tour aboard a vintage coach.
Train passengers will be able to stretch their legs on Meldon Viaduct, view the beautiful Meldon Gorge and visit the new Meldon Visitor Centre.
At Okehampton Station there will be a special display of vintage buses provided by the West Country Historic Omnibus and Transport Trust.
A Devon County Council spokesperson said: 'In spite of foot and mouth there is still a lot to do in Devon. This will be a very enjoyable day, full of nostalgia, and an opportunity to see some of our beautiful countryside.
'There will also be refreshments available at Okehampton Station and Meldon Buffet.'
