I AM wondering if anyone in the local area would be able to help me in researching my family tree.
My grandfather was from Okehampton and his parents and grandparents were from the surounding area. My grandfather was called Harry Jordan and he was born in 1898. He had three brothers, William, James and Thomas. He also had three sisters, Mary, Ellen and Emily.
Their parents were Albany and Grace Jordan (nee Friend) who were married in South T\awton in 1886.
Ihave managed to trace the family one generation before that but have not been able to go any further as yet. If anyone is able to help please contact me. Thank you in anticipation.
