ON SATURDAY Ashley Moon held his first professional prize day at Okehampton Golf Club.

A total of 150 took part in a 4BBB stableford. The course was in superb condition which resulted in some excellent scores.

Results: 1, with 49 points: R Metherell and K Harkness; 2, with 45 points, A Smallridge and D File; 3, with 44 points winning on back 9, L Avery and S Ewings.

The junior team played in the East Devon League event at Woodbury Park. They enjoyed the day but found the course difficult.
