TAVISTOCK Round Tablers Mike Hooper and Colin Piper have made it back from their week-long trek along the remote lengths of the Great Wall of China.
To date the running total for all the British Tablers who tackled the wall is £92,000, which will rise to £145,000 when promised monies are paid in.
This will be the direct profit to Whizz-Kidz, which supports non-mobile children.
The trek started with a flight to Beijing and a three hour bus trip to the Hebei Province which borders Mongolia.
Five days of trekking along and around the Wall culminated in a return to Beijing in time to join the Chinese playing Brazil in the World Cup.
Mike and Colin now have a series of talks to give to local organisations and they are now considering the Inca Trail in Peru next year.
They would like to thank all the people who generously gave sponsorship and helped to make this trip so worthwhile.
If anybody would like more information on Whizz-Kidz telephone Mike on 01822 610898.
