THIS term's Stoddard Lecture at Kelly College will be given by the BBC's swimming commentator and former Olympic medallist, Andy Jameson.

Andy was a pupil at Kelly from 1978 to 1983 and one of the founder members of the Kelly Swim Squad that included fellow Olympians Sharron Davies and Andy's sister Helen.

He won a bronze medal in the 100 metres butterfly in the Seoul Olympics in 1988.

Andy retired from swimming in 1989 but has maintained a high profile in the sport due to his commentary work for the BBC, which he combines with a highly successful career in the City.

Andy's lecture is entitled '25 Years of Olympics : from Crawling to the Commentary Box' and will take place at 7.30pm on Friday November 6.

The lecture, to include footage of past events, is free of charge and members of the public are most welcome to attend.
