A SCOUT from 1st South Zeal cubs has proven his can do spirit – by achieving all the activity and challenge badges available.
Oliver Johns has completed the rare achievement, working hard to learn new hobbies and skills along the way. Among the activities Oliver has taken part in are the group's visit to Westminster Abbey's harvest festival in 2013, and the group's collective efforts to climb the height of Everest.
Club leader Tina Adams said: 'Oliver Johns came to 1st South Zeal Cubs really keen on completing badges.
'He has been very committed over the past two and a half years, persisting at various challenges within the group and independently pursuing new experiences like horse riding and martial arts.
'Oliver was the first boy in South Zeal Cubs to ever gain his outdoor plus challenge badge, enabling him to complete the whole set of 33 activity badges and seven challenge badges. Oliver has been an inspiration to all our new cubs.'
