Tavistock Seconds 61
DHS Old Boys Seconds 0
FROM the off, Tavistock's forwards dominated the game aided by some stout defence and creative attacking by the backs.
Tavistock quickly turned their early pressure into points, when Adam Bridgewater went over following a break by the backs. A second try followed quickly on seven minutes when scrum half Josh Sutton scored following good work from John Mallons and Glen Martyn.
Not to be outdone, the forwards also got in on the act following a series of rucks which sucked in the DHS defence and were finished in style by James McDowell.
The pack continued to dominate the scrums and were magnificent in the loose led by man of the match Will Luke.
A further two tries were scored in the half for the home side by captain Marc Ninnis and second row Simon Thompson, both superlative individual efforts.
The game was effectively finished as a contest early in the second half with another try from Ninnis. Number 8 Andrew Griffiths piled agony onto the opposition, breaking several tackles to race over and make it 41-0.
Further tries came from Sutton, McDowell and debutant Jon Kay following good link-up play between the backs and forwards, to finish another fine performance by Tavistock.
