Okehampton 3

RECENTLY relegated Okehampton came to Tavistock for hockey's first derby match of the season.

It was always going to be hard for both sides, Okehampton took the advantage in the first half and scored three goals, Tavistock replied with a solo effort from Heard, a tremendous strike on goal that had the Okehampton keeper well beaten.

Tavistock played well in the first half and Young, who organised the defence, frustrated the away side from scoring more goals.

Tavistock used their rolling substitutes effectively and put Okehampton under pressure with constant attacks. Way scored the second goal, but with time running out Okehampton held on to claim the three points.

This week Tavistock are away to PGSOB in Plymouth at 4pm.
