ON Saturday a large field contested a 'three ball Stableford two to count' competition Okehampton Golf Club in challenging conditions.

The winners of division one were Martin O'Connor, Mark Wonnacott and Keith Harkness with 84 points. Second were Will Searle, Arnie Searle and Lee Pengelly with 79, winning on the back nine from Kevin Cornwall, Jack Cornwall and Malcolm Hill also with 79. Winners of division two were Richard Prouse, Brian Fishleigh and Bob McDowell with 84 points. Second were Richard Johnson, Phil Hobbs and Dennis Edwards with 83 and third were Neil Penfold, John Flavin and Kev Harding with 80.

On Sunday the Mens' Daily Mail Foursomes qualifier for 2010 was played. The winners were Simon and Mike Hern with a gross 82 net 68.5. In second place were Martin O'Connor and Arnie Searle with a gross 82 net 69.
