WHITCHURCH Montessori Nursery Group is celebrating after being praised by Ofsted inspectors.
The inspectors said the staff were ?sensitive, encouraging and excellent role models? and children could freely access the equipment set out for them.
The children also showed ?great interest in exploring and investigating their environment?, behaved ?very well and with confidence?, were ?happy and actively engaged?.
The report said Jan Iles, who has been at the nursery for ten of its 25 years, had developed a happy, warm and caring environment for the children.
The nursery caters for 13 children a session and provides a wide range of acitivities covering the Montessori curriculum and early learning goals. The six areas of learning are well covered, particularly language, literature and numeracy.
The nursery meets every weekday from 9.15am to 12.15pm and is for three to five-year-olds.
