I HOPE your readers can help one of Britain's best-loved and longest established loudspeaker firms.

Harbeth is marking 25 years of manufacturing success and wants to trace owners of the company's original model. Remaining HL Monitors are like gold dust‚ because spares are no longer available.

Created by the former BBC engineer Dudley Harwood, the Mark I was the first loudspeaker in the world to use a remarkable plastic — polypropylene.

Now, as one of the last remaining UK speaker brands, Harbeth's innovation remains British through and through. (Details at http://www.harbeth.co.uk">www.harbeth.co.uk).

While many original models are still giving pleasure, any not being used are urgently needed to provide spare parts.

Users of the 1977 speakers should contact Harbeth Audio on 01444 484371 or e-mail [email protected]">[email protected] if they can help.
