AN evening of music and songs from the North Country will take place at Clearbrook Village Hall next Saturday. Jez Lowe and the Bad Pennies are making a return visit to the West Country. They are a very talented group of musicians with an international reputation, who play a wide range of instruments including guitar, cittern, mandolin, fiddle and Northumbrian pipes. The excellent acoustics of Clearbrook Village Hall give a clarity of sound that does justice to the lyrics of the songs which are mostly written and composed by Jez Lowe. The performance starts at 8 pm on Saturday November 25 and there will be a bar and light refreshments. Don't miss this rare opportunity to hear songs and music from North East England. Tickets are available from Tony Medlen on 01822 852559 and will cost £8.
